Understand corporate storytelling and its place in change management

In this two-day workshop you will learn about the structure of storytelling and how it affects your organisation.

Storytelling isn't just a buzzword that's fashionable in comms - it's an integral part of all our lives. Organisations can get lost in business-speak and technical jargon, so much so that they lose sight of what really matters to people.

And what matters is relatable communications that mean something - a narrative we can recognise and trust.

Course Contents

The Writing Room is a place where you and your colleagues can really understand the nature of storytelling. Away from the demands of your business, learn about stories and their place in your business.

Four sessions over two days provide a space for learning and discussion and the opportunity to add a new tool to your business strategy.

Session 1

Into the Writing Room - collaboration in fiction and screen writing takes place in a writing room. This is a dedicated space to remind ourselves of story structure and explore ideas. In this session you will complete a workbook exercise that plumbs the depths of story and its elements.

Sessions 2

But who is this story for? - the shape of stories are hardwired in our brains and we recognise them instantly. Backed by psychology and scientific evidence, you will learn how stories work in our lives and why resonance - and psychic distance - matters in your business.

Session 3

There is nothing more constant than change - HERACLITUS, 535 BC.

Perhaps you've tried traditional change management models and they haven't completely worked? In this session we look at how storytelling maps on to change, hot-spots for change resistance, and how you can apply this to your organisation

Session 4

In the final session you will explore story telling in your organisation and look at areas where it will help you and your colleagues come together to move forward towards excellence. You will leave this workshop with new ideas and an understanding of storytelling you can apply to situation and communication - and you will understand how story resonates.

Uncover the power of storytelling and unlock transformation with your blueprint for change.
